Together with 183 other institutions, organizations, municipalities and companies, W.E.B partnered up with “klimaaktiv mobil” (Austria’s National Program to promote Mobility Management) and became one of Austria’s pioneers on how to enable climate protection in the field of road transport.
Now the Austrian Federal Minister for Sustainability and Tourism, Elisabeth Köstinger, presented W.E.B with an awarded for its commitment as part of the EU citizen event “Graz moves Europe – Europe moves Graz”. W.E.B understands electromobility as an integral element of the energy transition. Together with its employees, W.E.B is continuously expanding its fleet of electric vehicles.
The vehicles of as many as 30 employees already run on electricity. The drivers are able to charge their electric rides at a total of 33 charging stations at W.E.B headquarters. What is particularly worth mentioning: the electricity is generated by the headquarters’ own photovoltaic modules, thereby producing green energy where it is actually needed. Moreover, W.E.B sets up public charging stations in eastern Austria in cooperation with municipalities, companies, and other partners.
