Renewable energy is attractive! More than 3,000 visitors celebrated the plant expansion and saw for themselves how W.E.B produces clean electricity.
Excellent weather, an extensive accompanying program, and the official opening of the innovative multipurpose hall: everything came together beautifully in Pfaffenschlag last Saturday. W.E.B started into this eventful day as early as ten in the morning. The visitors stood in line for the guided tours and got an idea of how W.E.B produces clean energy electricity for over 500,000 people.
In his opening speech, W.E.B CEO Frank Dumeier addressed the threats of climate change and underlined the role of W.E.B as part of the solution to the problem. CFO Michael Trcka provided insight into the economic development of W.E.B and emphasized the importance of citizen participation.
Member of the Federal Council Eduard Köck and Mayor Willibald Pollak stressed the regional relevance of the company, as it creates both value and valuable jobs.
The afternoon belonged to the live acts Piccanto, nature, and the Canadians Emerald Tide. In the evening, the band Powerkryner got everybody in the marquee on their feet and dancing to ensure a worthy conclusion of a successful day came.
