W.E.B switched on new Wind Park in Lower Austria (Höflein)

On 29 July 2011 WEB Windenergie AG started a further wind park in lower Austria. After the installation of the transformer station the 6 wind turbines came on stream one by one.

The installation of the wind turbines finally started in autumn 2010. Six units of the tried and tested Vestas V90 turbines were built in a technically advanced form on a tubular steel tower reaching a height of 105 m.

The site is located in one of Austria's best wind regions and will generate about 33,000 MWh of electricity per year.

W.E.B Windenergie Group now operates a total of 153 power plants on 38 sites in 5 countries in Europe. The installed capacity amounts to 239 MW.
