Construction Start for New W.E.B-Wind Park Dürnkrut-Götzendorf

Work has commenced on another 10MW for Lower Austria

Preparations for construction work commenced recently at the new Dürnkrut-Götzendorf wind farm in the windy “Weinviertel”. This wind farm will have total installed capacity of 20MW and is being jointly built by WEB Windenergie AG and Windkraft Simonsfeld AG

W.E.B is to complete five Vestas V90 systems of technically advanced design, each of which will have an output of 2MW. Planned yearly output will amount to 26,300 MWh and be sufficient to supply some 8,800 households with electricity. W.E.B investment in the project will amount to EUR 15.8 million.

The project

Surveying, cabling and road building activities commenced during December and depending on the weather, will continue until the end of March 2012 when work will begin on the foundations. The “Waldviertel”-based company, Leyrer & Graf has been commissioned with earthing cable laying.

The W.E.B wind farm will become operational next summer.
